Today was our dear friend Caroline's 30th birthday party. She had a party at a small theater with the showing of The Wizard of Oz (her favorite movie), a little gathering before and a cake after. It was a wonderful party (even if we were 45 minutes late and missed all of the gathering before) and Courtney was a real trooper. She'd never seen the movie before and I'm sure she loved every minute of it. I sang to her and everything and she didn't complain a bit!!
I attempted to make her some ruby red slippers but Karen's Craft Corner was a failure. Again. I had bought some white shoes and attempted to make them sparkly red with a little adhesive, some red glitter and some sealant, it didn't really work. I do think I know where I went wrong and may try it again for Halloween.
Courtney, of course, was the cutest girl at the party. She was really excited for the party and begged me to buy her this outfit.
